Paul was also a founder of Arq which raised $250m to develop a waste coal to advanced carbons business; this was reverse listed on Nasdaq in 2023.

Steve's experience spans diverse mining operations, including the successful transformation of projects from concept through to large-scale production. At Flying Forest, he brings a rare combination of commercial acuity, technical understanding, and board-level leadership across complex, high-growth ventures.

Adrian has over 45 years experience in shipping and trading. He became a member of the Baltic Exchange in 1977. He has worked with the US Government and USDA on AID policy, and established a biofuel and biomass department for the major US Forestry company International Forest Products Corp. He also established a biofuels division for Gazprom and led a team with DNV to pioneer a complex tolling agreement of fuel supply for power with Drax. He has worked with Shell on trading fuels and BP on originating renewable fuels. He is also an expert witness for biomass and shipping arbitrations and is a Member of the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights in London.

Jake has almost two decades of capital markets and investment banking experience, and he was the Global Head of Natural Resources Equities at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
